Zac Efron’s new film about the serial killer Ted Bundy will be instantly available on Sky

Sky Cinema Original Films has added three eagerly awaited movies to their upcoming slate. Life Itself and Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile will be available to watch from your home at the exact same time that they’re in the cinema.

In addition, Sky Cinema Original Films has also secured UK distribution rights to Matthew McConaughey-led noir thriller Serenity – that’s the new film from the creator of Peaky Blinders, Steven Knight.

Here’s what the three films are about.

Life Itself is a moving tale of two families interconnecting over multiple generations. Written and directed by Dan Fogelman, the creator of This Is Us and writer of Crazy, Stupid, Love Life Itself – it boasts an extremely impressive cast that includes Oscar Isaac, Olivia Cooke and Antonio Banderas among the A-listers starring.

With regards to Zac Efron’s take on the notorious serial killer Ted Bundy, Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile sees acclaimed true crime documentary maker Joe Berlinger travel back into the world of narrative film with a chilling and disturbing thriller telling the story of serial killer Bundy.

The film tells the tale of Bundy’s horrific crimes from the perspective of his girlfriend, Liz, played by Lily Collins.

John Malkovich also stars in the film, playing the role of Judge Edward Cowart, who oversaw Bundy’s televised trial and sentenced him to death in 1979.

Serenity stars McConaughey as Baker Dill, a fishing boat captain leading tours off a tranquil, tropical enclave called Plymouth Island. His quiet life is shattered when his ex-wife Karen (Hathaway) tracks him down and begs him to save her and their young son from her new, violent husband (Jason Clarke) by taking him out to sea and leaving him for the sharks.

The new films follow on from animated adventure Monster Family, disaster thriller The Hurricane Heist, Final Score -a . new thriller featuring Pierce Brosnan and Dave Bautista – and cyber mystery Anon as the latest Sky Cinema Original Films.

Sky Cinema Original Films are available in cinemas and on Sky Cinema on the same day and are available to Sky Cinema customers at no extra cost.
