Thousands of people have 'liked' the viral videos.

A YouTuber who threw water at pedestrians in London has been slammed for pulling off the terrifying stunt in the light of fears of acid attacks in the nation's capital. In a series of videos recorded earlier this month, 22-year-old Arya Mosallah, who vlogs under the the name ItsArya, threw water in the faces of passers-by. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9NLIpgt-hdI His first video in the series has since been watched over eight million times, with the follow-up receiving over 1.5 million views. The viral filmmaker has suggested that if the second video receives 150,000 likes then a third video will be produced.

However, many in the comment section were quick to point out how stupid his actions were.

One commenter wrote: "With the increasing number of acid attacks on the streets of London, this video is anything but funny."

Another added: "Considering acid attacks are increasingly common in London. This maybe isn't the best idea..."

The Metropolitan Police believes that there were 431 acid attacks in London last year, almost doubling from 261 in 2015.
