For the first time in Don’t Tell The Bride‘s long, storied history, the couple decided not to marry.
Oh dear.
In the latest episode of the E4 show, which aired on Wednesday, the couple decided not to tie the knot after the husband-to-be Craig wanted to throw his Oktoberfest-themed wedding in a brewery.
His partner, Sofia, appeared to have more of a romantic beach ceremony in mind, so was understandably disappointed to turn up to her big day to find a bunch of blokes dressed in lederhosen.
She even attempted to escape the ordeal by running into a nearby KFC to change out of her frock, a bit like Peep Show‘s Mark Corrigan when his son is being born.
Eventually, she very reluctantly agreed to go through the motions of the wedding, but without the couple of eight years being legally wed.
“I’m sorry that it’s fucked up. I fucked up, I got it wrong…and I wasn’t doing anything against you, I wasn’t trying to make you look silly” Craig admitted.
Things got even more awkward during the fake vows, during which Sofia took the opportunity to smear honey across her man’s face and exact her sweet, sweet revenge.
Ahead of the credits, E4 informed the audience that “at the time of making this programme Craig and Sofia had decided not to make their wedding legal and were working together on their relationship.”
