Watch Justin Bieber throw a massive wobbler and storm off stage in Manchester

'Obviously Manchester just can't handle it'

Is it too late now to say sorry? Oh wait, yeah he’s gone. Oops.

That may or may not have been the reaction of certain members of the Manchester division of Justin Bieber’s crazed fanbase, after the famously temperamental popstar stormed off stage during his recent performance in the city.

The reason? He wasn’t happy about the pre-pubescent Beliebers incessantly screaming their heads off between songs, of course.

Biebs has gone through something of a reinvention in the past year or two, in that since Diplo and Skrillex took an interest you no longer feel it necessary to slyly put one hand over your iPhone screen if you’re loading up one of his tunes on the bus. These days, most of us would happily admit to a bit of casual Beliebing.

But then you hear that he had an on-stage tantrum because a load of fans, who’d paid stupid money to see their idol live, did some harmless screams.

Bieber was in Manchester as part of the UK leg of his ‘Purpose’ world tour, and after becoming increasingly fed up with the noise, he had it out with the misbehaving fans.

“I appreciate all the support, I appreciate love I appreciate the kind things,” he said.

“But the screaming in these breaks has got to stop. Please and thank you.

“I don’t think it’s necessary when I’m trying to say something and you guys are screaming.”

The screaming continued, though (obviously), so Bieber threw down his mic and stormed off stage, causing some sections of the crowd to boo.

The Canadian singer did return eventually, but vowed to cut the talky bits for the remainder of the show. He added: “We’re just going to do the music. Obviously Manchester just can’t handle it so let’s do the music.”

It’s not the first time Biebs has had a pop at fans either. Just last week he told fans in Birmingham that screaming while he was talking was ‘obnoxious’.

Let this be a lesson to us all. You can enjoy Justin Bieber’s growing catalogue of undeniable bangers, but stop making such a bloody racket about it, yeah?
