Time to party like it’s 1999.
Travis have today announced that they will be playing their much beloved album The Man Who in its entirety on tour this coming June and December.
The Man Who was released 19 years ago (May 24th 1999) and went on to become one of the most successful British albums of the past 20 years.
Spawning the singles “Writing To Reach You”, “Driftwood”, “Turn” and possibly the band’s most iconic song, “Why Does It Always Rain On Me?”, the album spent 11 weeks at number one, selling close to three million copies.
The biggest selling UK album of 2000, it played a big part in propelling Travis to household name status, which was then capped off with Ivor Novello Awards for Best Songwriter and Best Contemporary Song for “Why Does It Always Rain On Me?” and BRIT Awards for Best British Band and Best British Album.
Following a sold out tour and a critically acclaimed new album Invisible Storm, London four piece Turin Brakes will also join Travis as special guests on their June run of The Man Who live.
