The first trailer for the Queen biopic perfectly captures Freddie Mercury’s most iconic moment

Paul Moore

Essential for Queen fans.

We’re taking a sneak peek at the brand new trailer for Bohemian Rhapsody.

We could wax lyrical about the iconic tunes that Queen created but in the first trailer for the biopic about Freddie Mercury, Bohemian Rhapsody, the filmmakers kick things off with Mercury’s greatest moment – holding 80,000 people in the palm of his hand.

Ladies and gents, when you look up the definition of the word charisma in the dictionary, this is what you’ll see.

We’re delighted to see that Bohemian Rhapsody kicks off with that moment. Here’s what’s in store.

Plot’s it all about?: The film traces the meteoric rise of the band through their iconic songs and revolutionary sound, their near-implosion as Mercury’s lifestyle spirals out of control, and their triumphant reunion on the eve of Live Aid, where Mercury, facing a life-threatening illness, leads the band in one of the greatest performances in the history of rock music. In the process, cementing the legacy of a band that were always more like a family, and who continue to inspire outsiders, dreamers and music lovers to this day.

Cast: Rami Malek, Lucy Boynton, Gwilym Lee, Ben Hardy, Joseph Mazzello, Aidan Gillen, Allen Leach, Tom Hollander and Mike Myers.

Director: Bryan Singer/Dexter Fletcher

Release date: October 24th

Enjoy!
