The trailer for The Meg has landed and it’s going to be the greatest film in the history of cinema

Paul Moore

Jason Statham vs a 75-foot shark. YES!

Welcome to #TrailerChest, where we’re taking a sneak peek at the brand new trailer for The Meg.

This year is going to be a treat for monster movie fans because we’ve already had Pacific Rim: Uprising and in Rampage, The Rock is going to fight a gigantic gorilla and a flying wolf. Awesome.

There’s only one thing that can top that. A 75-foot shark that’s beefing with Jason Statham. As stated previously, we’re confident that The Meg is going to win 1,437 Oscars and topple Citizen Kane in terms of the critic’s favourite films.

Oh, and did we mention the budget for this movie is $150,000,000?

Bring. It. On!

Plot’s it all about? : A deep-sea submersible—part of an international undersea observation program—has been attacked by a massive creature, previously thought to be extinct, and now lies disabled at the bottom of the deepest trench in the Pacific…with its crew trapped inside. With time running out, expert deep-sea rescue diver Jonas Taylor (Jason Statham) is recruited by a visionary Chinese oceanographer (Winston Chao), against the wishes of his daughter Suyin (Li Bingbing), to save the crew—and the ocean itself—from this unstoppable threat: a pre-historic 75-foot-long shark known as the Megalodon. What no one could have imagined is that years before, Taylor had encountered this same terrifying creature. Now, teamed with Suyin, he must confront his fears and risk his own life to save everyone trapped below…bringing him face to face once more with the greatest and largest predator of all time.
