Distracted Chancellor George Osborne tweets Chris Evans about Top Gear filming

After ditching Jeremy Clarkson,the BBC might have thought that a new line-up of presenters might bring an end to some of the recent negative headlines.

But ahead of the revamped show's first airing, things aren't going to plan. Matt Le Blanc drew headlines over the weekend as he joined forces with former rally driver Ken Block to cruise around London in a custom 845bhp 4WD Hoonicorn Mustang. After gatecrashing a wedding at St. Paul's and prompting complaints after performing 'donuts' near the city's Cenotaph, it seems that the pair also managed to disturb the Chancellor. George Osborne sent the following tweet on Sunday: https://twitter.com/george_osborne/status/708990684909473792 On Monday morning, Chris Evans apologised on behalf of LeBlanc and the Top Gear team for the images which showed the car nearby the Cenotaph.
