Someone definitely got fired for this.
This Morning seems to suffer more technical difficulties than most shows out there, and today was no different, as someone made the absolutely incredibly blunder of playing ‘All About That Bass’ over their Stephen Hawking tribute video.
It literally couldn’t have happened at a more inopportune moment as Philip Schofield introduced the video by calling Hawking, quite rightly, “an inspiration for millions” as a photo of the late Astrophysicist appeared on the screen. And then things went downhill. Fast.
Meghan Trainor and that fucking terrible bassline started playing over the top. She sings the line about having “junk in all the right places” and watching it you can’t quite readjust your face back to a normal expression afterwards due to the staggering level of personal discomfort from watching something so unfathomably cringeworthy.
Honestly, it couldn’t have gone any worse. It actually couldn’t have gone any worse.
