‘This is how you die’ – Home Alone star arrested over charges of allegedly strangling girlfriend

Home Alone actor Devin Ratray has been arrested for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend. The actor played Buzz McCallister, the older brother of Kevin McCallister, the role famously played by Macaulay Culkin in the 1990 film and 1992 sequel. Devin, 44, was in Oklahoma City earlier this month when the alleged incident happened. According to a local news report from outlet KFOR, Devin and his girlfriend were in a bar near a fan convention Devin had appeared at when two women approached him to ask for his autograph. Devin gave the two women autographs for free, rather than charging them, as he had been doing at the autograph convention. An argument began between Devin and his partner and he allegedly became violent when the couple returned to their local hotel room. The unnamed woman freed herself by biting Devin's hand but then the actor punched the woman in the face, according to the report. Devin also allegedly told her "this is how you die" while the attack took place, which followed the Home Alone star drinking a bottle of wine and ten shots, the partner told authorities. The Oklahoma City Police Department told Fox News the actor “turned himself in and was processed through and bonded out” on December 22. Devin denies the allegations and was released from custody after a $25,000 bond was offered. His lawyer said in a statement: "Mr. Ratray denies he ever laid a hand on her or did anything in regards to anything like that." Devin has worked consistently as an actor since Home Alone. He also appeared in the sixth instalment of Home Alone, Home Sweet Home Alone, playing Buzz McCallister, when it premiered on Disney+ last month. He's also known for starring in TV series Law & Order, as well as films True Romance and Hustlers.
