Grab your mates…by order of the Peaky Blinders!
Aside from all the gangsters, violence and wonderful characters, there’s another reason why Peaky Blinders has proven to be so intoxicating for viewers, the lifestyle.
Horse racing, whiskey, smoking and some incredibly nice threads are all on offer in Steven Knight’s excellent show and if you fancy embracing your inner Peaky Blinder, this event is just the thing for you.
Motion in Bristol will be hosting an event called ‘By Order Of’ and it sounds like heaven for any fans of the show. As stated on the official Facebook page, the event will “blur the barriers between performance and audience. With secret corners, gambling dens, moonshine and fortune tellers -you will immerse yourself in the age of grit and glamour.”
If you start to get a bit peckish, you’ll be pleased to know that there’s going to be “traditional wrapped fish and chips, hog roasts, and slow braised beef in real gravy. Vegetarian options will also be on offer.”
To (flat) cap things off, there’s also going to be cocktails, gin and enough whiskey to even make Tommy blush.
Cocktails, chips, whiskey, gravy and Peaky Blinders are coming together? That must be heaven to some people!
The event will take place on May 19th and anyone that’s heading along is being urged to “grab your pocket watch, shake out that smart tweed suit, press your flapper dress and brush off that flat cap.”
