Some fans of hit BBC show The Traitors have slammed last night's final claiming that a new feature of the game - brought in for the first time this season - ruined the much-anticipated ending.
In the penultimate episode, which aired on Thursday evening, host Claudia Winkleman revealed a new twist to the six remaining contestants.
The Seer is a power given to one of the players which allows them to invite one other player to a private meeting where they have to reveal whether they are a faithful or a traitor.
The Seer can then decide what to do with that game-changing piece of information.
At the end of Thursday's episode, Frankie - who had won the Seer power during an earlier mission - surprised viewers by choosing the only remaining traitor, Charlotte, to reveal their true identity.
Frankie chose Charlotte believing she was a true and committed faithful, and sought to affirm that belief going into the final.
Instead, at the beginning of last night's final, Frankie discovered that her close friend Charlotte was a traitor, bringing about pure and utter chaos.
What came next was an awkward battle of wills as Frankie and Charlotte went head-to-head to convince the others of their innocence, with Charlotte turning the tables on her pal and accusing Frankie of being a traitor.
While it made for dramatic television, viewers at home were not impressed with the change, remarking that the rule has 'ruined' the show and that the twist was a 'massive mistake' by the producers.
Taking to X, fans didn't hold back on their opinions.
One posted: "This thing with the seer has completely ruined the game," while another added: "The seer has ruined it for me this year, absolute nonsense."
I’m sorry but the Seer twist was ridiculously unfair on Charlotte. Catching a traitor is one thing but having the traitor exposed the night before is terrible. What a disappointing end to what was a brilliant series. #TheTraitors

Another user commented: "I've loved this series of The Traitors but I feel like the seer power has ruined the final a bit - yeah its added drama but it's made it a 2 horse race rather than all the cast in the end."
I think the Seer ruined it. The outcome was clear once that happened so a sadly underwhelming end 😔#TraitorsUK #TheTraitors #TheTraitorsUK #Traitors pic.twitter.com/fb8g5qEabH

"Even if you didn’t believe Frankie, there is no way you wouldn’t get rid of Charlotte anyway. The game has been ruined," commented another.
One other user wrote: "Seer a massive mistake by the producers. Ruined the whole game."
Contestants Leanne and Jake eventually emerged victorious in Friday's explosive final after a third incredible series.
Francesca, Leanne, Alexander, Jake and Charlotte were the five remaining contestants going into the tense final.
But it was the faithfuls who managed to out smart the traitors and bag the £94,600 prize money.
