This is amazing news.
If, like me, you spent countless hours of your childhood recovering treasure and rescuing dragons, whilst playing the original Spyro The Dragon trilogy, then prepare to have countless hours of your adult years taken away too.
According to Kotaku, game developer Activision is currently working on a remastered version of the Spyro the Dragon Trilogy, which will be announced in March 2018 and released towards the end of the year.
The release follows in the footsteps of the highly successful
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy which saw the re-release of the PS1 games featuring everyone's favourite bandicoot.
The trilogy is slated to be made up of first three entries in the old Insomniac Games series:
Spyro the Dragon,
Ripto's Rage!, and
Year of the Dragon.
