The actress who originally played Aunt Viv in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air has not taken too kindly to a recent reunion photo that surfaced on Instagram.
Janet Hubert played Aunt Viv for the first four seasons of Fresh Prince, but left the show after falling out with Will Smith. She was then replaced by Daphne Maxwell Reid for the remainder of the show.
Evidently there is no love lost between Hubert and the cast of the hit ’90s show, as she took to Facebook, in a since deleted post, having a crack at the reunion and in particular Alfonso Ribeiro, who played Carlton on the show.
In the post she said: “I know the media hoe Alfonso Ribeiro has posted his so called reunion photo.”
“Folks keep telling me about it. He was always the a** wipe for Will. There will never be a true reunion of the Fresh Prince.
“I have no interest in seeing any of these people on that kind of level.”
The actress did, however, say that she was “not offended in the least, by this photo”, as it was for a charity event.
“It does however prompt me to take some meetings in Hollywood to pitch my memoir PERFECTION IS NOT A SITCOM MOM,’ she said, “and tell of the behind the scenes story before I leave this earth.”
Will Smith also posted a snap from the occasion, with a touching mention of actor James Avery who played Uncle Phil on the show, who sadly passed away in 2013.
