The trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice set a lot of pulses racing when it came out a few months ago, but it also raised some questions.
The main one, perhaps, is why is Ben Affleck's Bruce Wayne running straight into the rubble as Superman destroys Metropolis?
Henry Cavill, who'll be reprising his role as Superman, explained that this is the opening scene of the movie.
It turns out that the building we see get destroyed belongs to Bruce Wayne, and that he is running back towards the destruction in a vain attempt to save everybody inside. Speaking to Total Film, Cavill said:
“What happens there is one of Bruce’s buildings gets destroyed and he’s trying to save all the people inside the building and he can’t. So he is this angry person who fears what Superman may do. Why are they just going to trust this super-powered alien? What if he does decide to turn against us?”
