Remember The Muppet Christmas Carol? Yeah, this isn't that.
Muppets director Brian Henson is back with a bang, apparently, as his new film The Happytime Murders comes out later this year. The first trailer has dropped, and let me tell you, this isn't your typical Muppets flick.
It stars Melissa McCarthy, Joel McHale and the incomparable Leslie David Baker who you might know better as Stanley from the US version of The Office.
The trailer is... interesting, to say the least, including scenes of muppet violence, prostitution, sex, drugs and worst of all, absolutely worst of all, a Muppet orgasm scene. Phil Philips is the disgraced police detective setting out to get the bottom of a spree of puppet murders and bring a serial killer to justice with his partner Detective Edwards, played by McCarthy.
Forgot your childhood, forget The Muppet Christmas Carol, nothing sacred can last. I wouldn't watch the trailer unless you are mentally prepared to see a Muppet ejaculate what looks like silly string all over an office.
