In Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, Sam Rockwell's character is a racist, woman-beating cop that's extremely poor at his job. While Rockwell won the Oscar for his performance, it's very likely that even his character, the bumbling Dickson, would have been able to arrest the man who briefly stole Frances McDormand’s Oscar for Best Actress.
As you may know, Terry Bryant, 47, has been arrested for theft after brazenly walking off with McDormand’s Oscar statue before attempting to pass it off as his own.
The iconic statue went missing from McDormand's table at the Governor's Ball shortly after
the Oscars ceremony took place.
The Los Angeles Police Department later confirmed to
ABC News that Bryant was arrested late on Sunday and charged with grand theft on Monday. Police set bail at $20,000.
In the brief time that he had the Oscar, Bryant posted a Facebook Live video, holding the trophy up and claiming, “Got this tonight! This is mine. We got it tonight, baby!”
At one point, he said, “Where’s the Jimmy Kimmel party at?” and an unidentified bystander replied, “That’s your ticket to any party you want to go to!”
Somehow, we don't see him being 'invited' back next year.
