The last – and most exciting – person has been seen heading to Australia for I’m A Celebrity

Amazing news! The show kicks off on November 19

Happy days!

None of us can quite wait for November 19, as this year’s annual sojourn into the creepy crawly jungle down under kicks off in earnest in a matter of days. We love to see others struggle through the hunger and elements – and then often thrive – in the Antipodean wilderness. Witchetty grubs and all.

It may not surprise you to know that Declan Donnelly has been spotted at the airport heading to Australia ahead of the launch of I’m a Celebrity. But his travelling partner is altogether more exciting news.

That’s because he was snapped with old friend and partner in crime Ant McPartlin, looking refreshed and well after concerns over his wellbeing following a period of rehabilitation.

There had been rumours that Ant wouldn’t be coming back to present the popular ITV show this season after he took a break from TV earlier this year to attend rehab.

And after a lot of is-he-or-isn’t-he speculation about his return, it looks like we have our answer.

The presenting duo were snapped by excited fans as they jetted off to Australia ahead of the show’s kick-off next week.

The photos were quickly shared on social media in the early hours of Saturday morning, alongside the caption:

“Ant and Dec with fans at the airport earlier today, they’re heading off to Australia for #ImACeleb”

It comes as Ant reportedly separated from his wife, Lisa Armstrong, after 23 years together.

He is said to be taking some time while in Australia to weigh everything up, while Lisa, who is the head makeup artist on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, will stay in the UK.

A source explained:

“Ant is spending time apart from Lisa — he’s said he needs space and everyone respects that.

“They are effectively leading separate lives while he re-evaluates everything.”

He has moved out of the home the couple share in West London and moved into a rented house a few streets away.

The pair met while performing at a concert in Newcastle in 1994 and married in 2006.

Ant spent two months in rehab earlier this year for an addiction to painkillers he developed after a knee operation.
