Johnson, who alongside Tamasy also wrote Patriots Day, the upcoming film about the Boston Marathon bombings, added: "This is more than a sports film, it’s a once-in- a-lifetime story about the fulfilment of impossible dreams and the strength of the human spirit. It’s also a hell of a lot of fun. I’m extremely excited and proud to be a part of it."
We still don't know if the biopic will cover England's Euro 2016 campaign. Maybe they'll hide it somewhere deep within the DVD extras.
Filming is scheduled to begin later this year.
