The Guardians of the Galaxy 2 teaser trailer is finally here

First a poster and now a trailer? They're spoiling us.

What a day for Marvel fans.

As if it wasn’t enough that we got the first poster for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 – sequel to James Gunn’s 2014 sleeper hit Guardians of the Galaxy – earlier today, the comic book giant’s movie studio followed it up with a teaser.

With Doctor Strange just a week away from hitting cinemas, fans have been speculating about a Guardians trailer surfacing to coincide with the movie’s release.

At 1:27, it definitely falls into the category of sneak peek, rather than full-blown trailer, but that’s more than enough to get us very excited.

The brief teaser gives us a glimpse of most of the returning main characters, including Drax (Dave Bautista), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Rocket (Bradley Cooper), Yondu (Michael Rooker) and baby Groot (voiced by Vin Diesel).

There’s not too much given away in terms of plot details, but judging by the few lines of dialogue, it’s clear that the first movie’s quirky sense of humour will be just as much a part of the follow-up. Unsurprisingly, it looks likely to be just as deliriously entertaining, too.

And in case you missed it, here’s that poster from earlier in all its black and white awesomeness.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 will be released on April 28, 2017, in the UK, with James Gunn on directing duties once again.
