The full trailer for Narcos Season 3 is here and it’s bloody epic

Paul Moore

The war on drugs continues. This looks incredible.

To begin with, there’s one massive spoiler alert warning that has to be said before we discuss the new season of Narcos.

Are you ready to witness the rise of a new empire? Pablo Escobar may be gone but the story continues as the Cali Cartel begin to exert a vice-like grip over the drugs trade.

In Season 3, the criminal underground is getting crowded as we’re introduced to a host of new characters.

In terms of the kingpins, these men will be on the run from the law:

  • Gilberto Rodriguez Orejuela (Damian Alcazar)- leader of Cali Cartel, “boss of bosses”
  • Miguel Rodriguez Orejuela (Francisco Denis)- the brains behind the rise of the of Cali Cartel and Gilberto’s brother
  • Pacho Herrera (Alberto Ammann)- the on-the-low hitman, runs the Mexican connection and international distribution
  • Chepe Santacruz Londono (Pepe Rapazote)–  runs the satellite NYC empire of the Colombian drug network

In Season 3 , it appears that Gilberto has just announced a bold plan to walk away from the business. Mmm, somehow we don’t see that being a clean break.

As for our beloved DEA agents, Peña (Pedro Pascal) is forced to enlist the help of American and Colombian law enforcement agencies to take down the expanding Cali Cartel .  This time around, all the rules have changed for the narcos and their opponents – a fact that many won’t realize until it’s too late.

In terms of new characters, we’re going to be introduced to the following;

  • Jorge Salcedo (Matias Varela)- Cali’s head of security who prioritizes his wife and kids’ protection over his bosses
  • DEA agents Chris Feistl (Michael Stahl-David) and Daniel Van Ness (Matt Whelan), who enter the operation with enthusiasm and inexperience
  • Franklin Jurado (Miguel Angel Silvestre)- the cartel’s money launderer who unknowingly puts his wife, Christina (Kerry Bishe) in mortal danger
  • David Rodriguez (Arturo Castro)- Miguel’s oldest son, who is reluctant at first to take a leading role in the cartel structure

Feast you eyes on the rise of the biggest cocaine cartel in history.
