Our TV movie pick for tonight (Thursday, 30 January) is The Fan, the 1996 sports-focused psychological thriller.
The film tells the story of a star baseball player (Wesley Snipes, Blade) who becomes the unhealthy focus of a down-on-his-luck salesman (two-time Oscar-winner Robert De Niro, Raging Bull).
Directed with flashy style by the great Tony Scott (Man on Fire, True Romance), The Fan also features amongst its cast Benicio Del Toro, Ellen Barkin, Jack Black and John Leguizamo.
And though it was a commercial and critical disappointment upon release, the movie's talented cast and crew and its entertaining sports twist on classic stalker thrillers like Fatal Attraction, The Hand that Rocks the Cradle and Single White Female make it worth seeking out.
The Fan is airing on TV tonight/tomorrow morning on the channel Legend at 12.55pm. So, if you want to watch it, we'd advise recording the film.
The movie is available to rent on Apple TV and Rakuten TV.
