The Chase’s Anne Hegerty confirms she was not topless at Newcastle United match

The Chase's Anne Hegerty is better known to fans of the show as "The Governess". She is not, however, known to be a Newcastle United supporter. That came into question this weekend though after the sports department of Newcastle newspaper The Chronicle posted a photo of the Toon Army celebrating their 1-0 away victory over Leicester on Friday night. https://twitter.com/ChronicleNUFC/status/1116815424350453760 People on social media though thought that one fan in the crowd somewhat resembled The Chase regular - so she took to Twitter to confirm it was not her.

She came 65th in the World Quizzing Championships in 2017. She also appears on the Australian version of The Chase, along with fellow British chaser Mark 'The Beast' Labbett. She was also a contestant on the 18th series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! in November last year.
