Upon hearing the news on her ITV show from reporter Rishi Davda, Lorraine had an exasperated expression and a sarcastic tone to her voice.
She then quipped: "Well, there's no point him being there, really, let's be honest, if he's not going to do them. How bizarre? I didn't know he did that SAS thing, so this isn't the first reality show that he has done? How extraordinary." There has been much fallout since it was announced that Hancock would be heading into the jungle alongside the likes of Boy George, Chris Moyles and Olivia Attwood. The Tory MP was swiftly suspended by his party following the news that he would be a late arrival in the jungle this year. [caption id="attachment_365997" align="alignnone" width="767"]

The former health secretary had the party whip removed "with immediate effect."
Chief Whip Simon Hart MP said: “Following a conversation with Matt Hancock, I have considered the situation and believe this is a matter serious enough to warrant suspension of the whip with immediate effect.”
And a petition calling for him to be removed from the show has racked up more than 35,000 signatures.
Set up by Covid-19 Bereaved Families for Justice, it says that Hancock's appearance on the programme will "cause real pain and anguish to those of us who lost loved ones to Covid-19."
The petition goes on to say that the Tory MP "isn’t a ‘celebrity’, he’s the health secretary who oversaw the UK having one of the highest death tolls in the world from Covid-19 whilst breaking his own lockdown rules."
