Perry’s co-stars gathered together
Matthew Perry’s family and friends, including his co-stars from hit US sitcom Friends, gathered together as they mourned the actor’s tragic death.
Perry’s funeral was held at Forest Lawn Church of the Hills, not far away from where he and his fellow stars filmed Friends for 10 years.
TMZ reported that the funeral ceremony was an intimate event with around 20 or so people in attendance.
Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, and David Schwimmer were all present at the event.
Matt LeBlanc was also there alongside Matthew’s father, John Bennett Perry, and stepfather, Keith Morrison.
The final farewell comes after the 54-year-old was found unresponsive in a jacuzzi at his Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles, home.
In a joint statement after death, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer and Lisa Kudrow said Perry’s death was an “unfathomable loss”.
“We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew,” the Friends cast said in the statement released to the BBC.
“We were more than just castmates. We are a family. There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss. In time we will say more, as and when we are able.
“For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty’s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world.”
