Ted Lasso looks set to return to Apple TV+ for a fourth season next year as three stars of the series have reportedly signed on to feature.
This month marked four years since the first season of the much-loved sports comedy-drama hit our screens, and new reports suggest we'll be seeing our favourite AFC Richmond players and staff again very soon.
According to Deadline, Warner Bros. Television has picked up the options on the three original cast members who had been contracted under the aegis of the UK acting union Equity.
They are Hannah Waddingham, who plays AFC Richmond owner Rebecca Walton, Brett Goldstein, who plays hardman Roy Kent and Jeremy Swift, who plays Director of Football Operations Leslie Higgins.
The inclusion of all three major cast members suggest that more are to follow, including Juno Temple (Keeley Jones), who is a member of the American acting union SAG-AFTRA.
Her contract has apparently expired in the time after season 3 wrapped, so she will need to make a new deal.
Jason Sudeikis and Brendan Hunt, who star as Ted Lasso and Coach Beard respectively but also act as co-creators/executive producers on the show, will also return for the franchise's fourth instalment.
Sudeikis originated the character in NBC Sports videos which appeared as far back as 2013, so the studio would not have proceeded without his consent.

Phil Dunster - who plays Jamie Tart in the show- has apparently not been picked up for the fourth season.
Dunster also stars in Prime Video’s The Devil’s Hour and Apple’s Surface, so presumably there is something conflict between the production of all three.
While the outreach to the cast is underway, early preparations are also being made to open a writers room.
Deadline also suggest that production on a fourth season is eyeing an early 2025 start. That means we could see Season 4 of the series as early as the end of next year.
