Take Me Out is making a major change for the new series

We did not see this coming

We did not see this coming.

Take Me Out is returning for its tenth series. The show, which is presented by Paddy McGuinness, places a single man in front of thirty single ladies. Throughout various rounds, where the guy introduces himself, the girls can hit a button which turns off their light and signals that they aren’t interested in him.

It can either be very funny or very harsh, depending on the reaction from the girls. If you’ve ever watched the show, you’ll know that they’re very vocal about their opinion of the guys and sometimes quite cutting. Naturally, this makes for excellent watching.

And now, to celebrate its 10th anniversary, the show is making one major change. They will let the boys have their turn.

Paddy is inviting back thirty of his favourite guys from all the series and is letting them have a go behind the lights. Three single girls will stand in front of the guys to try and win a date.

Not only that, Paddy will also be holding an over 50s episode as part of the show. The boy only and over 50s special episodes will air as part of the new series in 2018.

Speaking about the news show, Paddy told The Sun:

“I’m so excited to be celebrating ten series of Take Me Out. I always look forward to seeing romance blossom amongst a new line-up of ladies and gents, including the over-50s! I’m also going to be catching up with the couples who got together after meeting on the show. Bring it on, let the tenth see the series!”
