They’re looking cooler than before.

Whatever you think of the sequels, few can deny that The Matrix was a defining movie of modern times. It was so innovative, visually thrilling, original, genuinely thought-provoking and just caught the zeitgeist of the era.

It’s hard to believe it’s been nearly two decades since its original cinematic release back in the summer of 1999. Back then, the film was so iconic and popular that it influenced a plethora of rip-offs and parodies, and made starts of its leads.

The style and look of the sci-fi fantasy was a fundamental part of its popularity, with everyone dashing out to buy replica sunglasses, long leather coats, and basically anything black and fitted. The thing is the cast looks so bloody cool.

But if anything, the prime leads look even cooler now, as evidenced by a reunion snap ahead of John Wick: Chapter Two.

That’s right, Neo, Trinity and Morpheus (or Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss and Laurence Fishburne) were photographed together at the ArcLight Hollywood red carpet affair and have aged remarkably well.

Does this mean yet another sequel to the franchise is on the cards? Let’s hope not, we were left confused enough as it is.
