Clips of Ekin-Su’s acting career have resurfaced as the Love Island contestant becomes an unlikely favourite to win this year’s contest.

According to the bookies, Ekin-Su and Davide have moved into pole position to take the prize money, with their odds being slashed to 4/6 from 10/3 overnight.

Adam and Paige follow at 13/5, while Luca and Gemma are 9/2 to win the show.

In 2020, Ekin-Su was cast in the Turkish television series Kuzey Yıldızı İlk Aşk, in which she portrayed the role of Işıl, a photographer from London who saves the life of leading character Kuzey (İsmail Demirci).

Clips of the show have resurfaced on social media, with one iconic nine-minute video showing Ekin-Su acting the pants off a tense scene on the beach.

The soap opera is based around the life of Kuzey, who was engaged to his childhood sweetheart, Yildiz, until he went to university and found another love.

According to the synopsis, when this is learned by his family, Kuzey is excommunicated by everyone in the village, including his own family.

But 20 years’ later, he experienced the pain that Yildiz experienced when his new love – who he had married and had three kids with – abandoned him.

Kuzey returned to his hometown with his three daughters, but Yildiz “swore to send him where he came from”.

Sounds a bit like Casa Amor, does it not?
