Some EastEnders viewers were not happy with one scene on Wednesday night

'Disrespectful and difficult to watch.'

The drama of the festive season looks to be far from over.

We were just getting our heads around everything going on on Albert Square when things got even weirder on Wednesday night’s episode of EastEnders.

After the pretty hilarious New Year’s Day robbery, Billy Mitchell had stashed the stolen cash in his funeral home but when it came time for the gang to look for it, it was nowhere to be found.

In their panic during the search, Aidan, Billy, Phil, Vincent, Mick and Keanu managed to topple a dead body out of a coffin in fairly sensational fashion.

As the credits rolled, we couldn’t really believe what we’d just watched.

Some viewers criticised the scene, claiming that it was disrespectful.

Others, ourselves included, were just plain traumatised by the whole thing.

But plenty of fans did see the funny side of it all.

As for where the money’s gone? A lot of people reckon that hapless Billy accidentally went and buried it in another coffin.
