Sir Elton John cleans his oven after being slammed for his ‘dirty’ kitchen

“Don’t think your comments go unnoticed…”

The 78-year-old legendary musician, who lives with husband David Furnish and their two sons, appears to be busy as he gets ready for the festive period.

“If you can’t escape it, you might as well Step Into Christmas! Who’s ready?”, Sir Elton says in the new video.

Many fans in the comments section were pointing out his dirty oven and even offered to clean it for the holidays.

“I just love that Elton John struggles with the inside of his oven too!!”, iseneff2.0 said, while MamaNaaf wrote: “Can I just say, the comfort I get seeing that Sir Elton John’s oven is not sparkling clean gives me….makes me feel better about mine!”

“Elton, your oven needs scrubbing. Gimme your deets and I’ll handle it for you”, offered This Philogynist as Tyronnysaurus-Rex said: “It’s that time of year you clean the oven maybe?”

And after these comments he didn’t shy away from the difficult task.

The Rocket Man hitmaker returned to social media to face his fans and let them know he was up to it.

“Hello people. It’s Elton John here. A couple of weeks ago I did some videos in this kitchen about how crazy Step Into Christmas was driving me and it got an incredible response, which I was quite startled at”, he began.

“But a lot of the response was quite negative about how dirty my oven was, my oven door, my oven window. I can assure you, I don’t have anything dirty in this house. I’ve never had anything dirty. I’m not a dirty person, so to prove I don’t have anything that’s dirty, I’m going to do something to show you”.

He is then seen wearing pink cleaning gloves and working on the oven window.

Sir Elton is still performing enthusiastically, in spite of his health issues. He performed at the Singapore Grand Prix in October, and at the Los Angeles Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.
