‘Everybody matters don’t they?’
Kanye West has found himself an unlikely ally following his comments labelling the Black Lives Matter movement a “scam” – as Sharon Osbourne has come out to defend the rapper.
Ye has been on the receiving end of a huge backlash after wearing a White Lives Matter t-shirt during Paris Fashion Week.
He followed this by sharing a post on his Instagram story which described the Black Lives Matter movement as a “scam.”
Kanye West decision to wear a “White Lives Matter” shirt is disgusting, dangerous, and irresponsible. Some of y’all will rush to defend him. You should ask yourselves why… pic.twitter.com/YT4a6c9tKI

He also wrote on his Instagram story: “EVERYONE KNOWS THAT BLACK LIVES MATTER WAS A SCAM. NOW IT’S OVER YOU’RE WELCOME.”
Kanye has been roundly slammed for both the stunt and the social media post – but now Sharon Osbourne has leapt to his defence.
When asked by TMZ what she thought about the backlash to Kanye’s words, she said: “I don’t understand why white lives don’t matter. I don’t understand it.
“It’s not my thing, it’s not my culture.

After Osbourne said she didn’t know what point he was trying to make, the TMZ reporter explained to her what the fuss was about.
She said Kanye had branded the BLM movement a ‘scam’, to which Osbourne responded: “We gave $900,000 to that and I’d like my money back. Wish he could have said that before.”
When she was asked if she thought Kanye should be cancelled, Osbourne said: “Don’t go to his social media, don’t listen to his music, leave the guy alone. Let him do what he does and if you don’t like him, leave him alone.”
