The star of one of the funniest TV shows ever made, Seinfeld, looks back on life before the role that changed his life.
Jerry Seinfeld had enjoyed a pretty decent career before Seinfeld first went on air in the late 1980s, but his role in a comedy about the life of a fictionalised version of himself saw his fame shoot to stratospheric levels.
In a new Netflix special, Jerry Before Seinfeld will explore what life was like before the show, reminiscing about growing up in New York and doing stand-up comedy in the Big Apple before he got his big break.
According to Deadline, it will be the first of two specials and is part of a deal Seinfeld signed with Netflix earlier this year that includes moving Seinfeld’s Comedians in Cars series to Netflix from Crackle and Seinfeld contributing to comedy programming for the streaming service.
Judging by the trailer below, Jerry Before Seinfeld looks like it will be worth a watch.
