It must be true if science says it…
Robert Pattinson has been revealed as the most attractive man in the world, according to science.
The Twilight actor was deemed the fittest of them all thanks to a little thing called the Golden Ratio.
This ratio of ‘Phi’ can be found throughout nature and many other facets of life and while math might not sound like anything to do with attractiveness or so-called ‘beauty’, it’s all about symmetry and proportionality.
The Greeks were the first people to come up with the theory, and it uses your facial proportions, including from your hairline to in between your eyes, the length between eyes and the end of the nose and then the bottom of the nose to the bottom of the chin. The more equal these measurements are, then the more beautiful you are said to be – according to science, that is.
Turns out, RPatz’s facial proportions are some of the best, coming out with an impressive score of 92.15 percent.
He beat the likes of Henry Cavill, Bradley Cooper, and Brad Pitt, who all also scored over 90 percent, but failed to beat out The Batman actor.
Cosmetic surgeon Dr Julian De Silva explained to LadBible the reason for Pattinson’s victory.
“Robert Pattinson was the clear winner when all elements of the face were measured for physical perfection,” he said.
“These brand new computer mapping techniques allow us to solve some of the mysteries of what it is that makes someone physically beautiful and the technology is useful when planning patients’ surgery.
“He was in the top five for nearly all the categories because he has such classically shaped features and a wonderful chiselled jaw.”
Amber Heard has previously been named the world’s most beautiful woman
Amber Heard has the most beautiful face in the world, according to science at least.
Back in 2016, Dr De Silva found that Amber Heard had one of the world’s most beautiful faces, as she still falls into the Golden Ratio.
Analysing the perfect proportion of facial features, including the eyes, nose, lips, chin and a total of 12 key points of the face, including those listed above, he found that Heard matched the Greek Golden Ratio of Beauty Phi with 91.85 per cent accuracy.
Using that same facial-scanning technology, he also found that Kim Kardashian had the most scientifically perfect eyebrows, Scarlett Johansson the most scientifically perfect eyes and Emily Ratajkowski has the most scientifically perfect lips.
Using a composite of many famous and widely considered beautiful faces, Silva also created the most scientifically “perfect face” using Heard’s nose, Kardashian’s eyebrows, Johansson’s eyes; Ratajkowski’s lips, Rihanna’s face shape and Kate Moss’s forehead.
