This JANuary… it’s time to Michael down your Vincents
Rick and Morty co-creator and voice of both of the lead characters, Justin Roiland, has had a brand new cartoon series picked up by online streaming service Hulu.
Entitled Solar Opposites, the series will follow a family of immigrant aliens – Jesse, Korvo, Terry, Yumyulack and The Puppa – as they attempt to adapt to middle America after leaving “a better world” on another planet.
Hulu is owned by the Walt Disney Company, which has ordered the first 16 episodes of the show, which will be split over two seasons. As with Rick and Morty, Roiland will voice two of the characters – Terry and Korvo.
Roiland will be joined on the show by Rick and Morty story editor/supervising producer Mike McMahan, as both will work on the show alongside Rick and Morty, which was also recently picked up on a long-term 70-episode deal by Adult Swim.
Solar Opposites is set to premiere in 2020, whilst Rick and Morty season 4 is due to air sometime in 2019.

Will it live up to the lofty standards set by other Justin Roiland creations such as Alien Invasion Tomato Monster Mexican Armada Brothers Who Are Just Regular Brothers Running In A Van From An Asteroid And All Sorts Of Things or Jan Quadrant Vincent 16?
Only time will tell. Only time, and possibly Jan Michael Vincent, will tell.
