It’s no secret that X Factor producers have been attempting to overhaul the show in a big way for the 2017 series, but one staple that hasn’t been done away with is the Wildcard.

While it’s been confirmed that the sing-offs between the bottom two are no more and that more than one act will be sent packing each week, we now also now know who’s getting a second chance through the show’s back door system.

Viewers have voted to bring through four acts that didn’t make it past the judges’ houses stage at the weekend.

The singer chosen from Sharon’s Girls category is Alisah Bonaobra, reports the Sun.

A previous contestant on The Voice of the Philippines, she’s been dubbed the ‘comeback kid’ of this year’s competition, having gotten a second chance both at bootcamp and in the Six Chair Challenge.

Also still in the running is Leon Mallet, who’s been picked as the wildcard for Louis’ Boys category.

Aged 22, he originally auditioned in a duo with his brother but was chosen to continue in the competition on his own.

The Over 25’s act saved by the public is Talia Dean.

She too narrowly managed to get past the Six Chair Challenge, with Nicole Scherzinger deciding to bring her back at the last minute.

In the hotly-contested groups category, mentored by Simon, duo Jack and Joel have been saved by viewers and are the final act to secure a wildcard spot.

Each of the four wildcard acts will appear on Saturday night’s show, where they’ll join the other acts.

“They’ve all been favourites throughout the season, and as we’ve seen in years previously, could well go on to be the show’s most memorable acts,” a source on the show said.

“They’re all beyond excited and are working tirelessly to prove viewers got it right and that they are worthy of a spot.”
