The Simpsons is more than three decades old

Television's most popular cartoon of the last 30 years has always been fond of referencing films, and as you'd imagine due to its longevity, has referenced an absolute tonne of them over its time on the air. From comedies, horrors, psychological thrillers and dramas - the show has tipped its hat to pretty much every genre since its debut. Some have the subtlety of an axe through a hotel door, while others are so incredibly clever and layered it can take multiple rewatches to actually realise there's a reference there at all.
