Pro Evolution Soccer is a wonderful game. While it lacks the gloss of its competitor, EA Sports' FIFA series, it makes up for it with stellar gameplay and a level of dorky charm that is usually reserved only for actors in Judd Apatow films. One of the things which people find most charming (and a little infuriating) about Pro Evo is the lack of licenses. Yes, it would be nice to have some shiny real crests and kits in the game, but you cannot help but have a little chuckle when you see the lengths to which Konami go to come up with a relatively convincing unlicensed doppelganger.
