Those pundits will be rejoicing at the news that Stewart is set to return not only to television, but to political coverage. Stewart will join his long-time collaborator Stephen Colbert on the latter's The Late Show in order to cover the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio next week, where Donald Trump is to be officially named as the Republican candidate for president.
Stewart will stay on until the next week for the sake of covering the Democratic National Convention.
Needless to say, the world will be very glad to have him back.
