Disney+ has just added Paradise to its service, an addictive new thriller series that is sure to get people talking.
The show stars Oscar-nominee Sterling K. Brown (American Fiction) as Xavier Collins, a Secret Service Agent assigned to work in a serene community inhabited by some of the world's most prominent individuals.
"But this tranquillity explodes when a shocking murder occurs and a high-stakes investigation unfolds," the plot synopsis reads.
Along with Brown, Paradise stars James Marsden (X-Men) and Julianne Nicholson (Mare of Easttown).
To reveal any more of its plot would ruin the fun because this is a series that, right from its pilot, consistently delivers shocking reveals guaranteed to provoke gasps from viewers.
As such, all we will say is that the show comes from the creative team behind the hit show This is Us.
And if This is Us saw them put an epic innovative spin on the family/romantic drama, Paradise sees them do the same but for the political thriller/murder mystery - thanks to its brilliant performances, rich characters and twisty plot.
You can read a sample of some other glowing reviews for Paradise below:
Collider: "As both a sociopolitical thriller and an exhumation of the human condition, and among all the other series vying for audiences' attention in the new year, Paradise is well worth your time."
The Guardian: "A whodunnit with wit, heart and Sterling K Brown. Who could ask for more?"
The Independent (UK): "The best debut episode in years."
JoBlo's Movie Network: "Paradise is one of the most intriguing series of the decade... Whatever you do, avoid spoilers and go into Paradise fresh."
