‘I want to thank you all for all of your support over the years’
Olivia Newton-John shared an inspiring message to fans in what is thought to be her last direct address before her death earlier this week.
The icon and legend passed away at her California ranch surrounded by loved ones on August 8, spurring a flood of condolence messages from Hollywood’s elite. Now fans are lamenting her death on Instagram beneath a video the Grease star shared on Christmas Eve 2021.
She wrote: “Hi everyone! Olivia here! I just wanted to take this opportunity to wish all a primarily healthy, happy, peaceful Christmas.

“I know it’s been a very, very, very difficult time for everybody in the whole planet – so this is a time we can get together, celebrate each other and our families and whatever faith that you believe in we can express it with each other which is very important.
“I want to thank you all for all of your support over the years and I wish you all the best and send you love and light.”
Beneath the post, one fan wrote: “An angel now and forever. God speed, Olivia.”
“So many condolences for your family during this time. Beautiful soul- Our hearts break but you’re bringing light to another place, happy journey,” another said.
