It looks like there’s going to be a new Sister Act film

Ready to feel old? It has been 25 years since we last saw Deloris Van Cartier / Sister Mary Clarence on the big screen in the wonderfully titled, Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit. Genuinely, is there a better name to a sequel than that? Anyway, the original film saw Whoopi Goldberg being nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Comedy or Musical - at the Golden Globes and the films continue to inspire a devoted cult following. Regarding the possibility of Sister Act 3, Goldberg has some mixed news. During a recent interview with Good Morning Britain, the Oscar-winner was asked about a potential movie.

"We've been all over Disney begging. They've decided that they're going to go in a different direction with Sister Act. So it won't be Sister Act 3 it will be a brand new rendition of Sister Act, and I guess I'll walk through a scene and that's how they'll say I was part of it."

FYI, if that's how the filmmakers want to proceed then so be it.
