It’s coming back!

The BBC has announced that the final two episodes of Peter Kay’s Car Share will air on BBC One in May. A few months ago during BBC Children in Need, the comedian announced that the show will be returning and fans don’t have long to wait.

After the recent cancellations of his comedy tour, the show’s return is bound to please Kay’s fans.

Despite being immensely popular at the time of its release, viewers were slightly disappointed by the Car Share finale because they desperately wanted to see what happens between Kay’s character John and Kayleigh, played by Sian Gibson.

The BBC has reported that “there will be an unscripted episode before the finale, which will reveal if John and Kayleigh have a happy ending.”

If you fancy seeing these episodes before anyone else, Kay also announced via Twitter that there’s going to be a charity screening of the two episodes taking place in Blackpool next month.

Car Share won two Bafta TV Awards in 2016, for best-scripted comedy and best male performance in a comedy programme.
