Deadline, the studio have identified Gary Gray (The Fate Of The Furious, Straight Outta Compton) as the man to erase any memories of MIB: II and III. Hell, they could just use the memory erasing gun, but what do we know?
After striking it big at the box-office with Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Sony are confident that Gray can emulate that success and he has the track record to do so. As for the new Men in Black film, the script is written by Iron Man scribes Matt Holloway & Art Marcum.
Sony’s desire to revive the franchise hasn't exactly been a secret. In the past few months, 21 Jump Street cast members Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill were linked with an extraterrestrial spinoff.

At present, Sony and Amblin will be looking to relaunch the series without Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith in the leads.
