*WARNING: Spoilers for the first half of Ozark season four ahead*

Critically acclaimed drama Ozark is sadly coming to an end soon and, while we wait for the latest instalment, Netflix has given viewers another glimpse of what to expect.

Last month, a date announcement alongside a teaser trailer showed Julia Garner’s Ruth Langmore on the brink of an emotional breakdown and out for revenge. In this latest snippet, we see just how far she’s been pushed.

Watch the Ozark Season four, part two trailer below:

As fans of the show know, Ruth was left devastated by the death of her cousin Wyatt (Charlie Tahan), who was killed by drug lord Javi (Alfonso Herrera) – and she’s decided to get even.

We see Marty Byrde (Jason Bateman) warn her that Javi’s death would ruin everything they’ve worked for, to which she responds: “Welcome to my f**king world.”

Meanwhile, Marty and Wendy (Laura Linney) are struggling more than ever to keep their marriage afloat – and it looks like they aren’t going to get their happily ever after.

Speaking about the show coming to an end, showrunner Chris Mundy said it was important to him that fans got closure from the final episodes.

“I always want closure”, he told The Hollywood Reporter, “I don’t want to feel messed with. I want to feel like: ‘Okay that was the end. So, hopefully, people will feel closure by the end — whether they like it or not, I don’t know.”

He went on to say that, “In terms of tone, we’re going deeper into the family and their bonds”, asking the question: “Is family the ultimate bond? Is friendship? Is marriage? At what point is it almost unhealthy to stay, even if you love somebody?”

Mundy rounded things out by adding that “We’re going to delve into that with Marty and Wendy. Hopefully, the back half will still be fun and exciting, but also really emotional for the Byrdes and Ruth.”

Netflix has also revealed that they will be releasing a 30-minute special episode called A Farewell to Ozark, “which serves as a love letter to one of Netflix’s great drama series” on the same day as the premiere.

The special episode “explores the genesis of the series, the rich characters we loved and loved to hate, the gripping performances that captivated us, the creatives who made magic behind the camera, and a wealth of memories over the last five years”.

Ozark season four part two arrives on Netflix on April 29 and we can’t wait to see how it ends.
