A new drama starring Fassbender, Gosling and a host of big-name musicians sounds like a must-watch

This sounds like a must-watch.

Conor Heneghan

Including Florence and the Machine, Iggy Pop, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and more.

Michael Fassbender and Ryan Gosling will appear alongside a host of huge names from the music business in a Terence Malick drama due for release later this year.

According to IndieWire, the drama, which originally had the name Weightless, will now be called Song to Song and will be released, in the US at least, on St. Patrick’s Day.

Fassbender is slated to play a music mogul described as ‘Lucifer-like’ in the music scene in Austin, Texas, where struggling songwriters Ryan Gosling and Rooney Mara chase success.

Natalie Portman is in there too, as are some big-name musicians such as Florence and the Machine, Patti Smith, the Black Lips and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

An impressive extended cast, but you had us at Fassbender and Gosling…

… and Mara and Portman.

Keep an eye out for this one later this year.
