"We are testing slightly different prices to better understand how members value Netflix," a spokesperson told Digital Spy.
"Not everyone will see this test and we may never roll out these specific prices beyond this test. Our goal is to ensure that Netflix is always great value for money."
Exactly how this test works is hard to tell, Digital Spy forum users report seeing Premium advertised at £10.99, £11.99 and £12.99 per month, the latter amounting to an increase of £36 per year. US users have experienced a number of price hikes in recent months, analysts pointing out that three increases have arrived amid Spotify's financial difficulties.
