Released in cinemas in December 2021, Spider-Man: No Way Home went on to bank over $1.9 billion at cinemas worldwide, becoming the seventh biggest box office hit of all time, behind only Avatar, Avengers: Endgame, Avatar: The Way Of Water, Titanic, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and Avengers: Infinity War.
For fans of Tom Holland as Spider-Man, you'll be happy to hear that No Way Home will be joining both Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far From Home, both of which are already available to watch on Netflix in Ireland and the UK.
This time around, after asking Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) to mess with the collective memories of anyone who knows that Peter Parker is actually Spider-Man, it causes some rips across the multiverse, which then allows some folk from Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's variants of Spider-Man to enter this timeline...
On top of the huge commercial success, Spider-Man: No Way Home broke the mould by also being a massive critical hit, too. It scored 94% on Rotten Tomatoes, and is the fourth best reviewed movie within the MCU, behind only Avengers Assemble, Black Panther, and Avengers: Endgame.
Empire - "A monumentally successful Spider-instalment which pulls off a tricky and ambitious narrative trick with all the grace of a balcony-top backflip. At the risk of getting cheesy, it won't just make you cheer, it'll make you want to hug your friends, too. 5 out of 5."
The Seattle Times - "This is how superhero movies are supposed to be: thrilling and funny and moving and full of popcorn-fuelled joy. 5 out of 5."
BBC - "The film's real superpowers are its endearing performances, and a screenplay by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers that interweaves teen-angst soap opera and cosmic calamity with all the goofy logic and tonal nimbleness that make the best superhero comics so appealing. 5 out of 5."
Spider-Man: No Way Home is now available to watch on Netflix in Ireland and the UK.
