This could be a game-changer. Or, at the very least, a stream-changer.
You know when you sit down and get stuck into the latest episode of House Of Cards, or get nostalgic with some Die Hard, but you're on edge because you can't quite trust your streaming quality? Well, Netflix has introduced a new tool to determine just how fast your internet connection is, be it on mobile or broadband.
fast.com is Netflix's new easy-to-use website which allows users to check the download speed that they are receiving from their internet provider, as well as measuring the average speed per month of Netflix streams during peak hours.
You can use the tool to test your connection right here.
fast.com, like Netflix, is commercial-free and designed for simple usage. The idea behind it is that if your results from the speed test is consistently showing less speed than you have paid for, you can contact your internet service provider (ISP) to talk/complain about it.
