Meghan Markle said to be “upset for days” over South Park depiction

Meghan Markle has been left "upset and overwhelmed" following a recent episode of South Park which depicted her and Prince Harry's infamous Netflix series. The royals were the recent punchline of the series where Meghan's character on the show was introduced as a "sorority girl, actress, influencer, victim." In the South Park episode, titled 'The Worldwide Privacy Tour', Meghan and Harry are described as the Prince and Princess of Canada. While the royals' names are not specifically mentioned in the episode, the characters featured are a red-headed prince and his wife, who wears an outfit that is noticeably similar to one Meghan has worn in the past. The couple speak publicly about the lack of privacy they get, and the Prince goes on to promote his book 'Waaagh', which resembles Harry's book 'Spare'. After the couple decide to move to South Park in the episode, the princess character is shown saying: “If we moved here, people would think we’re really serious about wanting to be normal.” They also embark on a “we want privacy” tour, with the pair looking into hiring a branding manager. After this, the Harry character turns his back on the “privacy” tour, stating: “Trying to make ourselves into a brand just turned us into products. No more magazines and Netflix shows, we can just live a normal life.” But, when he leaves, the Markle character is shown to remain on the tour, leaving her prince husband alone. Meghan has now apparently been left "upset and overwhelmed" over how she and Harry were portrayed in the comedy series. A source told The Spectator that the Duchess of Sussex is "annoyed by South Park but refuses to watch it all", and royal commentator Neil Sean revealed to Fox News this week: "It appears that, like so many things with Meghan and Harry, this may have legal ramifications attached. "Their legal team are casting an eye over the episode to see what is wrong, and what could be turned into something more sinister." South Park begins with a disclaimer reading: “All characters and events in this show – even those based on real people – are entirely fictional.
